One sure sign you're hitting the road for the first time since, like, October

You approach the intersection for a right hand turn.

You unclip your right foot and place gently on the pedal.

You look to your left, right and ahead for oncoming cars.

You check over your left shoulder for additional traffic.

You lightly apply the brakes, and...

...reach for your turn signal.

Yeah - weirdly, I have a compulsion to put on my seat belt. Doh! Glad you're out there. The pictures of your new bike were gorgeous. How does she handle in the real world??

Hee hee, totally been there. Ha, I was really, really hoping that you didn't do a slow motion, foot clipped in fall on the side of the road. Phew!

Yes! Except for the turn signal (couldn't support my weight on one arm at the time), I did all of that the first time I rode after my bike crash. Keep riding!!
